Man suffers minor injuries, could lead to Texas workers’ compensation

Construction sites can be a dangerous place to work, and one construction worker is fortunate to have escaped serious danger in an accident at a construction site that could lead to a Texas workers’ compensation case.

According to NBC DFW, the Texas construction site accident occurred when the worker who was in a lift had to jump to escape a concrete wall and crane that were crashing.

The Texas construction worker suffered minor injuries that could lead to a Texas workers’ compensation case.  The man was fortunate that he did not suffer serious injuries.

Gulf of Mexico Oil Rig Explosion

On April 20, 2010, an offshore oil rig owned by Transocean, Ltd., exploded off the coast of Louisiana.  Tragically, 11 crewmembers are missing and Transocean reports an additional 17 workers were injured.   The rig continues to burn and has been evacuated.

Woman killed in Houston auto accident

Auto accidents are often mysterious in their results. Some auto accident victims leave the scene without injuries, but others may suffer lifelong effects or even death. Unfortunately both of these results occurred with a Houston auto accident.

KHOU reported that a Houston auto accident killed a 23-year-old driver, but the passenger in the vehicle walked away from the crash uninjured.

The Houston auto accident occurred on Highway 6 past Westheimer when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to crash into a ditch, overturn, strike a tree, and finally stop in a church parking lot.

The Houston auto accident injury victim died at the scene, and traffic was delayed for three hours for clean-up.

Fort Worth auto accident kills 2 young girls

Too often we hear of drunk drivers causing fatal auto accidents. Police believe that is exactly what caused the death of two young girls in Fort Worth.

According to The Star-Telegram, a Fort Worth auto accident killed two young girls and injured three others Saturday, and police believe that accident was the result of drunk driving.

The two girls, 4 and 2, were killed when they were riding in a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old male who police believe was drunk, and their mother, 19, and another male, 37, suffered Fort Worth auto accident injuries.

The Fort Worth auto accident occurred when the Taurus the girls were riding in collided with a pickup truck also driven by a 20-year-old drunk driver. Both drunk drivers have been arrested and will face charges.

Amarillo auto accident involves police officer—murder charges?

Should a man who tried to run over a police officer face murder charges? This is a question to be answered in a case over an Amarillo auto accident involving a police officer. The Amarillo police officer was almost run over by a suspect involved in a police chase, according to Amarillo Globe-News.

The Amarillo auto accident occurred when police tried to approach the suspect, a 25-year-old male, who had just pulled into a parking lot beside a stolen Buick.

The man returned to his car and struck a police cruiser. Then when one of the officers got out of his cruiser, the man tried to run over the officer, and the officer fired shots at the vehicle the suspect was driving, striking him in the leg.

Should the Amarillo officer have shot at the suspect? Should the suspect face murder charges for his involvement in the Amarillo auto accident?
