Burn Injuries

Terry Bryant July 25th, 2007

Burn injuries are one of the most devastating injuries someone can suffer.  Burns often require extensive hospitalization and long-term treatment, not to mention growing medical bills and work time lost.  In addition to the physical injuries, burns can lead to emotional and psychological problems when scars are visible.

At the Terry Bryant Law Firm we have seen many types of burn injuries.  They can occur in both your workplace and your home.  They can be the result of explosions, defective products or poorly maintained property.

We’ve all seen the news coverage of the terrible results of huge explosions at chemical plants and refineries that leave many people injured and even dead.  But explosions and the resulting burns can occur in your home as well.  Any type of appliance has the potential to explode if it malfunctions.

Sometimes explosions and fires are the result of negligence on the part of a property owner.  Other times they occur due to product malfunction.  In both instances, you should be aware that if you or someone you love is a victim, you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries and/or loss.

At the Terry Bryant Law Firm we understand the critical steps necessary to collect scientific evidence right away and ensure that you receive just compensation.  When we handle burn cases we work diligently to pinpoint the cause and origin of the fire or explosion, we gather and analyze the evidence and then test any products and/or materials involved in the fire so that we can properly identify the responsible parties in a timely manner.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious burn injury, please feel free to call our office for a free consultation.

Dangerous Side Effects of Seroquel

Terry Bryant July 10th, 2007

Seroquel is a drug most commonly prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia.  It is manufactured by AstraZeneca and has been on the market for quite a few years.  What you need to know is that Seroquel has been linked to some very serious side effects including a high incidence of diabetes.  In some instances these side effects have resulted in death.

In addition to being prescribed for schizophrenia, the drug is also used to treat the mania symptoms of bipolar disorder and for some elderly patients it is used to combat dementia.

At the Terry Bryant Law Firm we have prepared a brief video to provide our clients with vital information on Seroquel and the inherent risks that it poses.  If you would like to look at that you can do so by clicking on the link below:

If you or a loved one has experienced any of the adverse side effects that are mentioned in the video, we do not want you to stop taking the medication.  However, it is important that you see your physician to discuss these symptoms.  We would also like to talk with you about protecting your legal rights in this matter.  You can call our office at anytime and a legal representative will be happy to help you.
