A 38-year-old Houston, Texas, woman has died at a hospital after being hit by a car while jogging in the Heights last week.
The Houston Chronicle reports that the jogger was critically injured in a traffic collision on Wednesday, October 5, in the 1100 block of Heights Boulevard.
A gray Chevrolet Malibu that was westbound on West 11th hit the woman as she attempted to cross the street at Heights Boulevard. The Houston Police Department says the Malibu’s driver then stopped the vehicle. The driver is said to have had a green light and the right way at the intersection when the collision occurred.
Witnesses have said that the victim appeared to be jogging and listening to music right before she entered the intersection.
