A male motorcyclist and his female passenger both died as the result of a collision with an SUV on Texas 6 near Sugar Land, Texas, late on the night of Thursday, July 21.
The Houston Chronicle reports that the crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. when a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle, which was traveling southbound on Highway 6 near Voss Road, slammed into a black 2003 GMC Yukon.
The GMC had been pulling out of a Shell gas station and was attempting to cross Highway 6 to head north when it collided with the motorcycle, according to KTRK-TV.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deadat the scene, but his passenger was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, where she died. Neither of the two people inside the GMC were injured.
KTRK-TV reports that the driver of the GMC will be ticketed for the crash.
The victims’ names have not yet been released.
