The five-car crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday at a tollbooth in northwest Houston, killing a brother and sister whose car was hit by a 55-year-old man with a blood alcohol level two times above the legal limit. The drunk driver was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.

An hour later in north Houston a 38-year-old man was shot to death after an argument with two men in a vacant lot.
At 9:10 p.m. a 27-year-old man was robbed of his wallet and then shot and killed while walking with his wife from their apartment to their car.
