Police are investigating how a 26-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in Friendswood, Texas—southeast of Houston—on the afternoon of Monday, September 26.
The Houston Police Department reports that the accident occurred around 2:20 p.m. in the 15500 block of Beamer Road and FM 2351. Involved in the crash was a red Kawasaki Ex650 motorcycle, which landed in a ditch along the road.
According to the HPD, the motorcyclist had been traveling at a high rate of speed, “driving around other vehicles and doing wheelies.” The man then reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and veered into a culvert.
The rest of the crash details are scant, though it is known that emergency crews performed CPR on one victim but were unable to revive him. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
It’s unknown if anyone else was injured in the crash.
